Why Your Hair Routine Might Start in the Kitchen

I used to believe my scalp needed more products, oils, leave in creams, sprays, just to stay hydrated and grow. But what if the answer wasn’t just another product at all?

What if your hair is actually hungry?

I started feeding my scalp from the inside out, and everything changed.

🍳 The One Food That Shocked Me: Eggs

I never expected something as simple as eggs to help my scalp thrive.

They're rich in:

  • Protein (your strands are made of keratin, a type of protein)

  • Biotin (a B-vitamin essential for hair health)

  • Good fats (which support sebum production)

Instead of coating my scalp with oils, I let my own body produce its own oil...sebum, the way it was designed to.

My curls stayed hydrated longer, my scalp felt lighter, and I wasn’t constantly reapplying product. This video gives you a closer look at my scalp and what changed once I started allowing my body’s natural ability to nourish itself, no oil needed.

Here’s how I like to prep my eggs depending on the day, and yes, each one still feeds my scalp.

Scrambled

Fluffy, quick, and satisfying. A go-to for busy mornings.

Boiled

Easy to prep in batches and perfect for grab and go nutrition.

Fried

Crispy edges, soft yolk delicious with a side of greens or toast.

Poached

Delicate and elegant, ideal for when you want something light but nourishing.

I personally loved fried and scrambled, but what is your favorite?

🌱 Vegan Addition Section (Simple + Inclusive)

Not an egg lover? No worries.
There are plant based ways to support sebum production too. Foods like tofu, nutritional yeast, chia seeds, walnuts, and avocados can help nourish your scalp from the inside out, no animal products needed.
Healthy hair doesn’t start with products… it starts with what you feed it.
